ALYCIA COOPER
DIRECTOR
The creator, writer, and director of TRADE, Alycia Cooper, is an award-winning comedian, actress ("Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse", The Parkers", "Raising Hope", "Grounded for Life", "Cries of the Unborn", "As Evil Does", recurring role as Michelle in "Poz Roz"), and film director. Alycia got her start in the television industry as a segment director on "The Dr. Phil Show" and is a DGA Emmy nominated director. As a comedian, she has been the opening act for some of the biggest names in comedy: Dave Chappelle, the late Dick Gregory, George Wallace, Whitney Cummings, Paul Mooney, Tom Arnold, and Felipe Esparza. She also performed her comedy on the national stages of NBC’s "Last Comic Standing", "America’s Got Talent", "Stand Up In Stilettos", BET’s "Comic View", Byron Allen’s "Comics Unleashed", Hulu's "Coming to the Stage", and Nuvo TV’s "Stand Up & Deliver". As a member of the highly acclaimed Directors Guild of America, Alycia is a part of the 2% of African-American female directors in the guild and makes her directorial debut in TRADE.





BUDDY LEWIS

Buddy Lewis is an actor, writer, comedian, and executive producer of TRADE. His credits include HBO’s "Def Comedy Jam", BET’s "Comic View", "The Laugh Factory", Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Standup", "Drake & Josh", "The Suite Life of Zach & Cody", "Boston Legal", Disney’s hit show "That’s So Raven", "For Richer For Poorer", JD Lawrence’s "Community Service", "The Parkers", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", "Sister, Sister", "Yes Dear", "The Jamie Foxx Show", "Martin", Nickelodeon’s "All That", Fox’s "Mad TV", Cedric The Entertainer’s "Sketch Show", "The Parker’s", "The Steve Harvey Show", Fox Kids cartoon "Little Shop", Tom Joyner’s syndicated radio soap opera "It’s Your World", and "The Jammies". He has also executive produced "The Real Husbands of Hollywood " starring Kevin Hart and he co-created the Showtime Original Series "White Famous", based on the life of Jamie Foxx and starring Foxx and Saturday Night Live alumn Jay Pharoah. He has worked and succeeded in many facets of the entertainment business spanning from stand up comedy, warm up personality, Host/MC, actor, writer and comedy show producer. Buddy's primary focus is in the area of scriptwriting and his “Breaking into Hollywood: Comedy & Writing" seminar.







NATASHA WARD
producer / casting director
Natasha Ward is a prominent American casting director. For nearly 15 years, she has cast a wide scope of media, from award-winning feature films, short films, television, and theatre to digital series, commercials, and reality shows. In 2016, Natasha was the casting director for the Lionsgate film "The Perfect Match" starring Daytime Emmy Awards nominee Terrence Jenkins, three "BETHer" feature films, "Kicks" starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, and "9 Rides" which won awards at over 10 film festivals around the world including awards for "Best Film" and "Best Actor" Dorian Missick. A year later she cast "Brotherly Love" starring Keke Palmer and Cory Hardrict. Most recently, her feature film, "A Boy, A Girl, A Dream" starring Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good, which was shot in one day and in one single take, was selected for the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and released in theaters this year. With more than one hundred casting projects under her belt and multiple awards in her field, Natasha has marked her directorial debut with the short film "MINE" which is currently showcasing in film festivals nationwide. She also began to explore the realms of producing with the SXSW premiered film "9 Rides", the first feature film to be shot entirely on an iPhone 6s and in 4k. Natasha recently cast and is touring with the theatrical production "Redemption of a Dogg" starring Grammy Award nominees Snoop Dogg, Tamar Braxton, and Eric Benet. Natasha is always casting and producing major projects on all platforms. She most recently won the ITV Best of Fest with her short film "88". Natasha is a member of the professional guild Casting Society of America (CSA) and continues to use her experience as a casting director to improve the industry, serving as an acting coach, providing workshops for aspiring actors, and traveling with lectures and classes for the next generation.






KIMBERLY OGLETREE
PRODUCER
Kimberly Ogletree has produced over 20 films and television shows and over 200 musicvideos for Viacom, Universal, BET, MTV, TV One, and Bounce TV. As Supervising Producer for BET’s Special Projects and Development, she oversaw ten Arabesque original TV movies and music supervised nine. Kimberly operated her own production company at Sunset Gower Studios for ten years where she developed and produced content for multiple studios. She has worked with talent such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Babyface, Mo’nique, Harry Lennix, Tasha Smith, Lesley-Ann Brandt, William Fitchner, and Ryan Guzman along with award-winning directors Julie Dash, Neema Barnette, Jeff Byrd, Craig Ross, Jr., Mario Van Peebles, and Carl Weathers. Her latest feature, "Armed", directed by Mario Van Peebles was released theatrically and simultaneously on Amazon in September. Earlier this spring, Kimberly's six-episode series, "Monogamy" aired on the Urban Movie Channel, owned and operated by BET founder, Robert L. Johnson. Kimberly's most recent venture is the creation of Karat Entertainment International, Inc., where she plans to produce content for all platforms globally. Kimberly is a member of the Directors Guild of America, Producers Guild of America, Women In Film, a Board Member for Greenlight Women and Chair of the Industry Lab at The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California.

8:00AM - Filmmaker interviews
Get to know the Filmmakers as they are interviewed by Deborah Robinson, Executive Producer of TRADE, abut the details of their careers and their work on the TRADE film. Alycia discusses what TRADE is about, why she wrote the short film, its importance in today's society, how she's getting it made, and her plans to expand it to a feature film. You'll receive the full script and one talented participant will get an opportunity to rename one of the lead characters and receive associate producer credits on the film.

Filmmakers explain the process in this open Q&A. What do you want to know?

Written and directed by Mario Van Peebles, ARMED stars notables Ryan Guzman, William Fichtner, Columbus Short, Dionne Warwick, Van Jones, and Roland Martin. Filmmaker Kimberly Ogletree served as Line Producer on ARMED and will discuss her role in the movie before the screening.

ABOUT TRADE
Moonlight and Brokeback Mountain meet Fatal Attraction
TRADE
"A theoretically straight man
who likes to get serviced by gay men
with little or no sexual reciprocation."
Felonious Hinds is a career criminal who becomes obsessed with his cellmate, Alonzo ‘Zo’ Harrison. Zo is a happily married father of two. They spend every day and night together for six months in prison. On a dimly lit, pre-dawn morning, the lines are crossed.
On Zo's release date, he gives Felonious a fist pound, as if they barely know one another. Zo heads back out into the real world, never to see or hear from Felonious again… or so he thinks.
